^^^ Mais, oui!!!! LOL! I remember I had to read this in its original (French)...it isn't a children's book though...(maybe for French people :p) I remember how tough it was to read in grade 11 French class and analyze it and ...pretty deep...unless I'm getting that pic totally wrong!!!! (Le Petit Prince, non?)

...and damn, how could I forget good ol' Bruno 'n' Boots?!?!! Inspired me to become a disturber... :disbelief

I have all the Bruno and Boots books... and "no coins, please" and "bugs potter, live at nickaninny". Gordon Korman rawks!

The Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow relationship was so complex. So were others like Destro/Baroness, Cobra Commander/Zartan. I loved reading these.
It is surprising there hasn't been a movie made about this comic book yet???

For any fans...these should bring back some fond memories:

That is the cover of the very first GI Joe...to the best of my knowledge...the only thing that makes it so cool to me is that I have a mint version of exact issue...read maybe 5 times but never opened since the late 80's and sits wrapped and pressed in my room right now. I didn't even buy it from a collectables store I actually owned this when it first came out and thought..."Hey this is my favorite comic book I better take care of it..." I forgot about it for a number of years and then came across it while moving...What a score...After reading this don't think I was a bright child looking after my future...because I could own a yacht now with all them damn Wayne Gretzky rookie cards I put in my BMX spokes...DAMMIT!!!

Oh Roomond! :( Damn those BMX... and the dumb they make u do (like taking bigger jumps off dirt mounds than you should so you fall flat on your face and put yourself in IMMENSE pain! :( )

Gen13 is where it was at in the 90's for comic books. Apocalypse now was great around the time I was in Gr. 7 and 8 too! ;)

Oh the good ole glory days of comics, when life was so much simpler, more stress-free and without many complications at all. How I miss those idealistic days..., :clown:

I wish that I would have kept all my books from my childhood. Now that I have my daughter, I have bought her all the books that I use to read, like Little Critter, Curious George (we're reading the treasury right now), Where the Wild Things Are, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Goodnight Moon, Guess How Much I Love You. I could go on and on of books that I have read Makayla, that I probably enjoy them more than her, just because it brings back my childhood memories.

Here is another of my childhood faves:

GOODNIGHT MOON!

I loved that book! I used to make my parents read it to me every night, and then I had to say goodnight to all my stuffed animals. I had about 30 of them, and they all sat on my bed, and they all had names, and they all had to be said goodnight to individually! :D

And then, when I got a bit older, my dad and i read the entire Anne of Green Gables series together (yes, all 9 books).

Where the wild things are.

I used to have the little stuffed monster, which my mother tells me I was afraid of when i first got it, but then grew to love.
