MSN and AOL Merger in the Works?
This could be the most far out story of the day. The New York Post is reporting that Time Warner is in talks with Microsoft for a new business venture combining their flagship internet products. The new deal would combine Time Warner owned and operated, America Online, with MSN. The new business would have Time Warner and Microsoft equal partners combining the two largest dial up internet service providers into one joint product. Even more interesting, Time Warner is also having talks with Google and Yahoo should the MSN merger fall through. The whole plan definitely brings up anti-trust questions should the two largest dial-up ISPs combine.

| Time Warner should just die and leave other, respectable companies alone. It's like a leech trying to attach itself to whatever it can. |

while a lot of the new features look welcoming and useful, there are still far too many USELESS features that degrade performance and make it look all cluttered. not complaining though, i <3 my msn.
fully customizable would be great |

I do not see this happening. Considering how much money Microsoft just spent in revamping their MSN serach crusade against Google, I think they would be too proud to join with another large search/isp.
Anti-trust issues? Not sure about that either. Unless they tried to some how further control the price of online advertising. |

| I HATE MSN 7... It's so annoying with all kinds of crap. There are more popups and garbage than ever before. I'm sure 8 will just be worse. I'm using MSN 6.2 right now. |

I got forced to switch to 7!! Otherwise i would have kept 6.2, that was the one i liked best. MSN 7 is so bloated and most of the stuff it has isn't useful at all, not to mention the 3 million ads all over the place. I had to get a plugin to remove all that crap. |
