Any suggestions as to good places to apply for part time.
I would be available mainly wknds....and maybe 1 or 2 evenings during the wk at the most.
I still need some kind of income to help with expenses.
any ideas from you guys would be great.
I definately need to work at a place where I won't be temped to spend cash.....ex Le Chateau....:stongue:
I was thinking something like Home Hardware... |

| I would go for home depot as oppesed to home hardware. home hardwares are usually franchised, and probably varry a lot in what they pay. I used to work the depot when I was in school and they paid pretty well for part time. Cashiers were starting at ten bucks and that was several years ago. |

I wish you a load of luck with this. A tricky decision for sure.
If I had to part-time it again myself, I would (ideally) ONLY work in a book store, something like Chapters. That would be a DREAM part-time job for me.
I honestly wish I'd had that experience while going thru highschool (not too many Chapters or Coles around Colingwood though! :() That said, I did work for the UW Bookstore in my 3rd year at Waterloo.
It was fun... that kinda got it outta my system! :)

^^^ 110% agree ^^^
u can work like 2-3 nights per week and make really good money. if it's a busy place, you can easily come out with $200/night...easily!!!
don't go to places like home depot, that is so old skool, like back in high school when you needed money to buy pot. these days for part time you can make much more doing something else. try personal training. if u don't have a certificate it still shouldn't be a problem, u just gotta look for a place that is desperate of hiring some trainers. i do part time while i'm in school and i come out with roughly $100 per day and i only work 4hrs a day.
good luck to you anyway kelly! |

I have no experience waitressing or Djing for that matter.
I want something that is easy and doesnt require hard work. I will be burnt out from school as it is. |

All restaurants will pay you as they train you.
Waitressing I found was a lot of fun. If you can get in a bar setting the money increases substantially too.
As far as minimizing actual hours working and maximizing income - waitressing is the way to go. |
