well, matt has done it again. he has successfully put together a mix that will make you move your feet, bang your head and make your ears bleed with the basslines.

Matt Dublin - Elektrik Boogaloo

Tracklist

1. FLYING MIA - Tiefschwarz feat MIA
A little mashup I did about 2 months ago from one of the hottest producers around and one
of the hottest up-and-commers in the indie scene. Bring the HEAT!

2. Orbital Dance Machine - Trick & Kubic
Got this one the day I decided to make this mix so it was kind of a late entry however its
been ripping up dancefloors ever since. On greatstuff recordings, who have been putting
out.... Greatstuff(:P)

3. Heat It Up - Thomas Schumacher
Easily one of my favorite producers of all-time of Elektrochemie LK and confused records.
For a moment I thought he was going to fade away however comes back with a stormer.

4. Possession - Bully Boys
I came across this record in the shop(2thebeat-shameless plug) digging one day and was
pleasently surprised. I wish more records would come out with the electro/bumpy house vibe
like this one.

5.Washing Machine - SIKK
This is one of those: you either love it or hate it tunes. I have to admit when I first
heard it, I was the latter of the two however the more times I heard it my opinion changed
and I've been rocking it ever since. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

6.Pass this On - The Knife (M.A.N.D.Y instrumental)
The choppyness of this tune is really interesting and it builds, builds, and builds to a sort of
anticlimatic end. The decision to quick mix with the next tune was made as soon as I heard it.

7. Washing Up - Tomas Andersson(Tiga Da Da Da Da Da Da Remix)
Funny enough the first person I heard play this was Marco Bailey and I totally didn't see it
coming, he floored the crowd with it and it easily does the trick everytime.

8. Sounds Reviving - Martin H
A superb mix from Martin H captivating the sound that this cd is all about. A little 80s
mixed in with a little dirty funky techno.

9.Mustang 86 - Moonbootica
Originally I purchased this for the tune "June" which used the same sample as the
hip hop tune 'Breathe' by Fabulous. The more and more I played the flip side (Mustang 86),
the more it grew on me and now I strickly rock Mustang!

10.Round and Round - Body Rockers (Switch rmx)
Loved this one the first time Brian(2TB) and I listened to it. We instantly ordered as many
copies as we could get our hands on and sold them within a week to not only the heavyweights
in the local scene but also to people ranging from Donald Glaude to Evil Nine. If you haven't
heard this one out 50 times by now, do yourself a favour get out and support the scene!

11.Rumpfunk - Mike Monday
I've been waiting for a tune like this one to come along for awhile. Mike Monday is on his
game and I have bought virtually everything he has done since this came out. Funky hard house
with a 2005 flavour, LOVE IT!

12.Robophobia - James Zabiela
What a sick bottom end! The bass on this one should be illegal. I'm sure this has done some
serious damage to club systems all over the world, don't turn it up too loud... ahhh ,
crank that uP!

13.Knockout - Cirez D
Thanks to Kalemic for the heads up on KNOCKOUT! This has tore the roof off many a party over
the end of the summer and I know it will remain in my bag for many months to come. I know
Eric Prydz makes good money off like 'Call on Me' but good god I wish he did more dark
stuff like this!!

14.Overneath - Aquasky and Meat Katie
You can clearly hear the Aquasky and Katie influences in this track. The dirty aggressive
basslines of Aquasky and the funky 4/4 borderline breaks beats Meat Katie is known for. I expect
this to be huge in the upcoming months.

15.Time Bomb - TJR (Patrick Lindsey RMX)
In 1998 Patrick Lindsey made a tune that changed the way many people thought about breakbeats as
one of the originators of the house/break crossovers. "Walking Saw" was cained by top jocks
Carl Cox through Dj Dan and it still tears the roof off today. This is a remix he did thats
more on the housey tip but nonetheless still pretty spectacular.

16.In the Air - Grooveman (Bryan Cox Rmx)
Seems as time goes by, Mr.Cox is getting his beats tighter and tighter. I've heard some of
the new stuff he has coming out and it's next level. He uses his own voice in many of his
tunes and I would expect this to be no different. Let The Rain Come Down!!!!!

17. Kick Ya(Dancefloor Killa) - Da Fresh
Arnaud Caschera has been on fire lately with Da Fresh getting signed to Missile recordings,
and turning out some pretty interesting bootlegs throughout the summer. This is a stormer
that doesn't quit, no time to catch your breath!

18. Hot!Hot!(Love to Heart) - Co-Fusion
Its interesting seeing artists like co-fusion go from a ghettotech label(pro-Jex) to a
commercial house label(southern fried). I can see why the southern fried camp picked this up.
Sampling one of the greatest electronic tunes of the 80s-"Living in Video".

19. Pacific 202 - Peter Katafalk
One of the greatest tunes of all time gets a facelift from Peter Katafalk in his Happy Snack
Studio. Sampling Pacific 808 would be considered a crime however Peter does it in style for
perfect ending to the disk.
