Sesame Beats = LAMEST rave I've ever been to.

well. I'm still relatively new to the whole rave scene. and I went to sesame beats last night.. it was in my opinion,

2/10 :nervous:

It was a huge let down. The staff were s especially the guy who took money from kids and handed out tix to them, making fun of everyone.

and they wouldn't allow cameras and cellphones?! first, they wouldn't let me in unless I go put my camera back, and when I come back now they say you can't bring cellphones. WTF. I managed to get in this time, and throughout the event I almost got kicked out for checking the time on my cellphone what dips.

also, NO ING VENTILATION. as soon as I walk in, I feel this ing raging heat and the whole place is stuffy as . I go up to the 2nd floor, and it's so much worse.

and personally, I didn't think the music was all that great. I danced for about a hour and I got bored. I couldn't even talk to people because of all the plain and loud music. It would've been so much better if they had outdoor chill areas.. This event made me not want to go to raves anymore.. at least raves that are held in the same area.

I am going to give it another shot and probably going to spundae on 10.08 to see Armin. I have never been to spundae before. hopefully it won't be as bad as Sesame beats. :(

Sorry to hear you had such a bad time. You should have come to Spundae with the rest of us. Hopefully you are over 21. Spundae is not a rave venue; it’s actually a pretty sophisticated club. You will enjoy Armin at Spundae guaranteed.

oh wow, sorry to hear about that man. not cool.

if you say you havent been in the scene that long then you Definitely have to make it to Spundae and catch AVB October 8th.

IT WILL BE THEE BEST party experience for you yet, that i do guarantee

:)

yes I am over 21. It relieves me to hear you guys say Spundae is going to be a lot of fun. I think I am definitely going.

To me, sure the music is a major part, but it's not just about the music. I do enjoy the music, but I also go to meet people and socialize. For instance, I had the greatest time of my life at nocturnal. the music was great, and the people were awesome. Met so many people. and Sesame beats... it was totally the opposite.

Actually i was supposed to go to Sesame Beats with a couple of buddies, but instead i watched "Big Daddy" at home.

so i guess i made a good choice!

I just bought a tix to Spundae.

Hopefully I'll see some of you guys there :)

yeah long beach, i understand what you're saying.....a lot of people didn't have fun at that party.....I had a great time playing, but I agree it was weird rave.....=)

bigjimslade002
yeah the word rave is thrown around a little to much now a days.
when i think of rave i think of party in dessert/old abondoned/possibly dangerous building where a friend of a friend or flyer got you to the location.even when i was frequenting clubs in dc in the 98-99 timeline you could classify some of these places as raves due to a nonexistant dress code, rampant open drug use,big name djs that were secured two days before an event and buildings that were hurridly fixed up to accomadate the building inspectors.but that kind of behavior in a fixed environment is only going to be tolorated for so long before someone takes notice.which i can understand and quite frankly its a better envoronment to party in now and generates great money for the djs who richly deserve it. what i find tragic is the way the "big clubs" have cowered ,eliminating cameras, glow sticks(which is comepletly stupid),and anything that could be classified as "rave" even tho they threw that word around for years on their flyers etc. to attract people to their clubs.
