Help - Who has an iPod shuffle or Sony NWHD5?

1. My sister is having trouble with a Sony Network Walkman NWHD5.

The software won't install + work, and Sony said they can't help because their PC has been modified and so voids any Customer Support. Is there any other software that can be used ? Just something to be able to drag the songs onto the player. Or is it strictly the software that comes on the CD that will work, and only that.

2. My sister also bought an iPod shuffle.

Now, as far as she knows, you can ONLY get song from iTunes, which isn't free (is it?). She wants to know whether you can put your own songs onto the player, or do you HAVE to get the songs through iTunes?

Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks
Martyn
iTunes, the software is free.

iTunes, the music download service, is not.

iTunes itself is just another player. You can use it to transfer any music to your iPod.

You have to add your songs to your library or such on iTunes, then you must select 'update your iPod' or something (my English sucks:p)

I don't know whether iTunes is free, I never use it to download songs :) I always use my own music ;)

Ah so iTunes is an application that can be used to pay to download songs, or use it as a library so you can add your own music.

Correct?

I think the NWHD3 could be put in the same category as the NWHD5. So is there another application that can be used to transfer music to the player?

I have a Sony HD5 also, but the program works for me. Maybe you should look into the reason why it wont install and solve that problem.

I hope you weren't accusing me of ILLEGAL INTRANET PIRACIES!

BTW, there is nothing wrong with saying that you have modified your PC. It isn't illegal.

iTunes can be used as an application for the NWHD5, to transfer music?...sure?

We have spent some time searching on the problem. It says that the program doesn't work with Sony VAIO, but thats not what my sister has. I'll keep looking but another application would be perfect.
