What an awesome movie!
By far the only movie worth watching in theatres now.
I'm amazed by Nicholas Cage and his ability to reinvent himself with every role. This movie is great, with great performances by Nicholas Cage, Jared Leto, and the very attractive Bridget Monaghan.
The story unfolds with a young and ambitious Nicholas Cage growing up in little odessa after his family moved there from the Ukraine. He becomes restless with the idea of making money, and soon discovers the secrets to gunrunning. The rest of the movie kind of documents his rise and fall, and the moral implications that he has to deal with on a daily basis....And in some cases, how he moralises his chosen profession.
Very cynical, and somewhat desparing, but definitely worth watching. |

| saw it...didn;t hold my interest in the slightest bit. Was annoyed at the political message at the end of the film and could have done with out seeing the movie. Glad you liked it, to each his own. |

BTW, has anyone seen Broken Flowers? can't pass on a Bill Murray movie especially when its done by Jim Jarmusch |

I've heard people at work refer to it as being the fastest paced Jim Jarmusch movie.....That was said sarcastically as this movie is very slow paced too.
Mixed reviews from here at work. Some liked it, some didn't.... |

I liked it! Great movie that sheds light on a topic that is seldom talked about in everyday media.
I would rate this movie at 3.5 stars, but relative to all the crap that has been released in 2005 it gets a 4 star.
