Hey guys... im asking for myself...
I work as an IT person interested in living abroad for abit.. see the world from a different angle. I thought to myself.. why not san francisco and Los angeles or even oakland...
Im basically from Australia and im wondering what im to expect from a different country and things that differ, its english so it won't be a problem, but there are those things that you don't know until you get there and talk to people who are from there..
Maybe in about a year ill be heading off to those parts and would like to know more...
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance... |

Cause back before '99, U didn' give a damn about PvD, but now that he's pressin' platinum LP's, all of a sudden ur' into
his killer beat's! Ain't nothin' U can do to make it stop cause trance makes the world go round, so cut the act... |

Well it's so wide open as to what's going to be different that it would be merely impossible for any of us to answer your question unless we ourselves had gone from Aussie to the US.
I've lived in 5 different countries and I don't know to tell you.
Some things are more complicated some are easier.
What particular issues of concern do you have?
I could tell you silly things like:
gas is cheaper ( who knows how long that will last )
speed limit is 65 mph
long commutes are the norm
don't go to Taco Bell!
There's so many more things I don't know where to start. |
