Jesus! All this power and control is getting me hot! yet makes me nervous for what the future holds, thinking I'll never be able to just let everything go. I'm with you all as far as her losing the "power," but hopefully thats because of my age? I mean eventually, EVENTUALLY don't we reach a point in time in regards to luuuuuuuuuv where those control issues are cast out the window? Where whatever remaint of pride you have will constantly be pounded and squished and twisted and de-gutted and mutilated and rammed repeatedly over and over against a brick wall? but none of that matters! do it again and again! and we'd do it over and over again just to be again with the ones we love?

Power always matters in a relationship as it does in all human endevors. The entire goal of all life is to exercise it's power over others (Nietzsche). That never changes. What does change is how you exercise that power. When you are trully in love with someone your own wants and desires take a back seat. Sure you will still strive for power but you'll use that power to further your partner's interests or the interests of both parties as they are interdependent to a large degree. Love does not seek to take, only to give. |

| I think I'm too proud to ever do something like that to someone recent... only if I were really in love with him after a year relationship or whatever. |

boy not me:p i was scared, but confident doing it at the same time. i just had a gut feeling that's what he wanted. thank god i was right.
my next step (if he didn't respond to my cute little e-card) was going to be sending flowers to one of his classes and embarrass the out of him...and then leave balloons and stuffed teddy bears all over his car.
and then a dead rabbit in a pot of boiling water on his stove and some dead flowers..
oops nevermind. |

| Slylee, this may be a repetitive aspect of his personality. He may be just the type of guy that has to have love proven to him. It called the "baby that crys out to its mummy syndrome" & basically he'll keep crying until you pick him up. You see it happen alot in teenages & immature adults that also like to be spanked & wear dippers. This will relationship will work if you are willing to put in the effort. But it is also possible that the "baby that crys out to its mummy syndrome" will become the "spoiled brat takes advantage every chance syndrome", or the "Ive been a bad boy mummy so penetrate me with a black dildo syndrome" or even worse; the "Lick the toe jam out of my toe nails syndrome". whichever it is, life is all about being happy. & as long as you are happy with this fella, then life is sweet & best of luck to ya. :toothless |
