I will answer this one for the people on the forum. I inform people on this forum why Aria is no more involved in these parties. I am not trying to bring down these parties and I wish they can have success. But for us, 514 parties is history. We are no more in beause we were loosing way too much money with this. 514 convinced us to be in Swirl and promised us that we will make money because even after Celebration 2005 (money lost), we were not interested anymore. We gave it a last try and we lost 210 000$ (just with Swirl). So bye bye 514 parties for Aria.
Every good business man on earth would stop doing these parties.
This is just not intelligent to throw money like that to the toilets. |

Also, Bal en Blanc and Black & Blue are the most succefull parties in Montreal and it's like that since the last 4 years.
Bal en Blanc was 15000 people last year and it was the biggest party in Montreal history.

honestly... the people on these boards don't need to know anything!
That is your business and you can choose what you like to do. Of course it is a smart move to get out if you are loosing tons of money like that.. if that were my money I would be doing the same thing as well!
Don't feel that you should have to justify anything to anyone on this board.. people should just respect you for what you have done so far and leave it at that!

OK fine,you don't deal anymore with 514? you lost money,few people came at the party when you managed it,so thats it,keep the numbers for you,we don't need to know how much you lost and all that bull,let people involved do there job and people who love 514 parties be excited,take care of your parties point.
thats my point,thats it,its logic,why giving numbers and all that to ravers...its not our buisness,we just want to know who ,when and how much to go at the party,point final. |

Maybe that's all you want to know, but personally I'm always interested to hear more insight about the scene, and I appreciate every tidbit of information Biggy has given to us. There was no Cream this year...and I think people on this board would want to know why...I know I did. I'm sure the majority of people still have no idea why there was no Cream, cuz nothing was even announced about it. I consider us lucky to have a resource like JFL, cuz how the hell else would we know what was really happening in the aspects of these events that we don't see? |

| Maybe Circus and 514 will have the answer for these big events. Less big names and more local talent might be the answer to lowering costs. Preach was awesome at BeB (although not really local nor little name) Eddy Jasmin was also awesome at Celebration. The formula of having only locals seems to be working for Circus. Just my opinion =) |

| I'n all honesty you could make a sick event with djs like Nick Pilon, Creator, Preach, make Schulz come up from miami again. Like just those 4 at the big O or something with a load of ppl...that would be good. |

HI EVERYBODY !!
I just heard the funniest thing by one of my friend in New-Yorl. Seems like Jokenfold is actually playing in New-York for Nye, and Seems like he would have the best timeslot of the night. So that means that he's probably playing around 3-4 in the morning, meaning that there's no way in hell that he can play in Montreal that night, and even if he would play in Montreal it can only means that he would play freakishly early on which would suck 'cause he'd play in front of an empty room.
So my Guess is that 514 is trying to get some kind of hype going for their party by bullting the hell out of everybody (as always )

Biggy, honestly ignore OHYEAH. If I lost a heap of money like that I'd get the out of there ASAP. Just keep ARIA running and keep booking the talent. :)
