| I can honestly say that I've never once played any Final Fantasy game, for even a single second. I think this makes me the worst video game guy ever or something. |

great movie. ff7 is my favorite game but its been a while since ive played it. i wish i could play it again after AC but i just dont got the time.

Same here. Well, i've played, and I watched my sister play em, but I never got into them - too little user involvement for me - it's all watch movie & repeatedly select 'summon GF'. |

Im addicted to FF... the entire series...
I got FFI the day it came out by accident... and got hooked... got number 2 the day it came out... number 3 blew... number 4 wasnt bad... 5 was pretty good... six was kinda crappy... but 7 and 8 were awesome... If i had to rank em by enjoyment id say that it would have to go
1. FFI
2. FFVII
3. FFVIII
4. FFII
5. FFX

I spent a better part of my High School life on this game. It's one of my all-time favourites...
...and I didn't enjoy the movie one bit. Something about the plot just felt so shallow. Sure the movie had lots of style, and "cool" to it, but that's where it ends imo. |

Heheh,
Actually, the name "Final Fantasy" came to be way back in the 80's when SquareSoft (the developer) was nearing bankruptcy, and this was supposed to be their last game; sort of a last-ditch effort, a "finaly fantasy". Needless to say, the game was very successful, and SquareSoft went on to being one of the most respected developers in the world.
