| I am selling everything DJ related. 2 M5G's, 1 Tascam X-9, 2 Ortofon night clubs, and ALL vinyl. I wanted to give my fellow TA's first crack before it all goes up on Ebay next week. Let me know if you are interested. The DJ's on this board know my style and know what type of vinyl I have. I am not going to list out 300+ records. |

| For those asking why... The reason I am selling my precious set up is that I feel like I am wasting money buying vinyl and I feel that no matter how good I am I will always get overlooked. I don't plan on abandoning EDM all together. I will still party just as hard and I will quietly produce tracks. I will buy a new DJ setup when I graduate and get my life together, which isn't very far away. And yes Kfrogger is right, I am going to use the money to get back into competitive mountain biking. Freeride to be more specific. |

I can't tell you how many times Ive thought about quitting.
It was just more fun when I used to go and just listen....
There is so much petty bull and Jealousy involved in this business and I just dont have time for it.
Then I ask myself why I DJ. Is it to be famous and rich? to quit my job and travel around playing music for a living?
well I can tell you I am not a young guy so I am pretty sure Im not going to be around to get famous enough to quit my day job....(Who wants to listen to a 50 year old DJ?)
I hate flying so you know I wont be flying to 3 different clubs a week to play....
Any DJ that thinks they can get famous in today's market by just DJing in clubs here and there is plain crazy. there are hundreds of DJs that can do that. You can only distinguish yourself by producing and that is so difficult that my chances are slim and none.
So why do I do it??
To have fun! to help others have fun!! and to get away from the insanity of everyday life!!
You have to ask yourself...Why are you doing this??
If you dont like the answers, then sell your equipment and get out. |
