Welcome ladies and gentlemen, to the new (but probably not improved) ID Contest 25!
For the quarter-century of contests we have generous helpings of trance samples (what did you expect?!), with a side order of other random stuff. :p
The Points System:
As always, there are 50 samples to identify. You get 1 point for guessing the correct artist, title or remix. So, if it's a remix of a track, you can earn 3 points, otherwise 2 points. An example: Let's say I included a sample of Junkie XL - Breezer (DJ Tiesto Remix). Here's a list of possible answers and how many points each answer gets :
- Junkie XL - ?? -> 1 point
- ?? - Breezer (DJ Tiesto Remix) -> 2 points
- Junkie XL - Beauty Never Fades (DJ Tiesto Remix) -> 2 points
- Junkie XL - Breezer (DJ Tiesto Remix) -> 3 points!
In case of an Original Mix or a Radio Edit, you don't have to mention it, there won't be extra points then.
The competition will end on 12th October 2005 at Midnight GMT so make sure you get your entries in before then. Answers can be PM'd to me, or if you see me on MSN you can send them over there too.
Now most of these samples should be a piece of cake for you people, so I want to see you aiming to beat your personal bests here. If you've never played before, now is the perfect time to start! :D
So good luck to you all, and lets see some names on that scoreboard ASAP! Remember you can always send in your updated results later!

lots of good stuff in this one :)
one thing i thought of. i think it's stupid that some tunes are worth more points than others. means a person can beat you even if you IDed more tunes than him :wtf:
why not give a point for original mix aswell? |

How about giving 3 points for all, and give 2p for original mix guessed as other mix.
Ex:
Correct answer is:
Junkie XL - Beauty Never Fades [(Original Mix)]
Contestant answers:
Junkie XL - Beauty Never Fades (DJ Tiesto Remix)
-> 2p!
Contestant answers:
Junkie XL - Beauty Never Fades
-> 3p!!!

| Im gonna win it someday ( :nervous: ) and overhaul the scoring system with easy,medium,hard,impossible ID's for 10,20,30,40 points going for them :D |
