Be safe Houston! My whole family is there, Kingwood to be exact. I don't think there will be too much to worry about where they are except for trees falling...well that's something to worry about. Anyways, for all you guys heading to Austin, it would be wise to call in advance to hotels. It's already been stated on the news that most of the hotels in austin are booked or taken at the moment.
Good luck!;) |

I have all my fam from the Brazoria/Matagorda Counties coming up to my place here in Austin. 5 Adults and 5 Kids. In a 2 bedroom apt. Ha ha
better to be uncomfortable than to put loved ones in harms way.
Be safe to all the TAs around that area. |

Most likely leaving Houston tomorrow afternoon. 4-day weekend from work. I'm still unsure where I'm headed too, as of now. If head to austin I will drop a call.
If your stupid enough to wait till friday or plan to wait it out.

Probably.
I went to school there and it wasn't until I left that I realized how elitist the school really is. As with all things, don't let the few ruin it for the masses. There's lots of good people at that school.
There's a lot of elitist Progressive & Trance DJs out there too, but they haven't made me hate the genre yet...Techno on the other hand... |

| Outbound traffic is so bad, I could probably hit the 'highway' now and still be stuck in traffic by the time Rita hits. I'll be posting unless my ISP goes down! |

That was one of the few saving features to living in Lubbock. . .you never see a hurricane that far west. What would start as a Cat III in Matagorda would end up a morning drizzle in Lubbock the next day or two.
Might be a good idea to pay flat and dull west Texas a visit, Houstonians. I'm making the run to El Campo to pick the grandmother up and bring her to Killeen tomorrow, just in case, but we still expect thunderstorms here in Cen-Tex; what Houston sees is gonna be much nastier, but I don't think we'll see a New Orleans-esque punking. . .I hope.:nervous: |

Leaving for dallas in about 8 hours, this hurricane is going to be one sick son of a bitch! man, i wish things were normal, that no ing hurricane was ever coming to houston, its been a damn while since I've been in a natural disaster. i wish all the houstonians the best of luck with this disaster, as it will affect us for the rest of our lives, especially when we come back to see the damage. i will probably be jammin some trance music to get my mind off this , too much to think about when your ing paranoid of what will happen next.
and again, the best of luck to us houstonians, pray that nothing happens to us on our way out of houston.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! |
