Since I moved out on my own, I have truly enjoyed cooking to the point where I now cook for the hell of it.

I love to experiment, but this only gets me so far.

Do you have any fav recipes? I love all types of foods, but especially love all Asian cooking, Indian, Japaneese, Chineese, Thai.

Got any good ones?

when i have the opportunity, this is what i usually make:
chicken breast, sliced open open and stuffed with whatever you like. i throw in sundried tomatos, chopped mushrooms, a tiny bit of shredded mozzarella. top it with pesto sauce and wrap in pruscutto. then either bake it or lightly grill.

i always cook with my girlfriend...i love cooking too, i hate processed crap. my two favorites are:

chicken parmasen with spagetti (and sausage and garlic chopped into sauce)...

i bread the chicken and add spices, and the key to making it taste mouth watering is letting it simmer in the sauce and mozzerrela cheese for a long time on low heat to lock in all the flavour, it just melts in your mouth

another fav is beef stir fry

- use VH orange ginger sauce (yum)

fry up small beef strips, add lots of been sprouts, broccoli, red peppers, and anything else that sounds awesome and serve over rice :wtf: great stuff...

also if you guys want a quick awesome in recipe for sheppards pie, do this, trust me, you'll thank me later:

fry up ground beef until cooked, add ketchup, franks hot sauce, and club house tex mex spice. (you figure out the measurements, i just wing it everytime)

the mash up the potatos, and put it all together, grate mozzerela cheese over top and add some oregano and a little tex mex on top to make it look pretty ;) ...best in sheppards pie of my life and a really quick meal to make, collage dorm approved ;)

This recipe will serve ten people. If you're not cooking for that many, divide recipe in half.

package of large size pita- super thin style if u can find it
500 ml plain yoghurt
3-4 cans chick peas
2 tbsp tahina
1-2 garlic cloves
2-3 tsp cumin
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 tsp salt
1/2 stick of butter
pine nuts
seeds of a pomegranite

Directions:
- Rinse the chick peas w/fresh water, put them in a large pot and cover with a LOT of water, and let them boil for a few minutes. Dont skimp on the water, as u will need it for the recipe later.
- In a food processor or blender, combine 1/2 the amount of the cooked chick peas, yoghurt, tahina, galic, lemon juice, salt & cumin & puree. If it still looks too thick, ladel in some of the water from the pot.
- Toast the pitas til they are crispy, break them into pieces into a large serving dish/ pyrex baking dish.
- Spoon water from the cooked chick peas over the crispy pita chips. This is to soften them again.
- Spoon the remaining chick peas over the pita chips.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chick peas.
- In a small frying pan, melt & brown the butter, and add the pine nuts near the end (don't burn them). Drizzle this mixture over the top.
- Serve meal. Top with pomegranite seeds to your liking.

Enjoy!
