Do You think this is a good deal? and is it better than the pionner 800.

I have around $1600 Dollars, and if i get those I will have about 700 dolalrs left to buy a mixer,
do you think I should invest more money in a mixer or I shoudl get a better Cd Player, and a cheaper mixer?

or , What will you buy if you are a beginner and you had 1600 - 1800 Dollars?.

I knwo it's my first dj equipment, but Iam serious abotu this, so I don'¿t want to buy something that it's not going to last, I want to buy something with good quality.

Also, if yo uknow oh a cheaper places to order , let me know =)

Thank YOu Very Much
Vlad
1 - Daniel at www.djmart.com will hook you up with a nice deal.
2 - As far as those 2 CDJs are concerned, they are similar in that they both have 0.05% pitch increment. My opinion is to go with the Pioneers because, if you have dreams of spinning at clubs, the vast majority will use Pioneer CDJ's so you will know what youre doing.
3 - Check out the Denon DN-S3500, it looks like a nice CDJ.
4 - As far as mixers are concerned, if you can get a nice deal on the CDJ's, you might be able to sneak in a DJM-500, Denon DN-X1500 or Allen & Heath Xone:32.

two cdj 200s (750$) and one xzone 32 (700$)
or even better

two techs 1200 (800$) with rane rerato (550) and whatever is left on a mixer :)

Spinning on that denon I heard is annoying because its like spinning on a belt.

dont forget it's being discontinued for the 3500 and therefore will have terrible resale value.

disregard this post if i'm wrong about the discontinuation.

save up for cdj-1000's if you are serious...they are really nice and elegant looking plus they store more cue pts and for someone serious...they are worth it...also the platter feels heavier which might be preferable

then again you do have a limited budget and the cdj-800 are essentially the same thing. so i guess if you have to get the cjd-800s they work pretty much the same as the 1000s for when you do get the gig plus you can focus on getting a good mixer. I am saving up for the 800's because i don't need mk2's but if i find a job it will probably change.

one last note is for you is that if you don't wanna scratch then go with the 200s. They are more accurate look better and play mp3s

Even though the Denon is a belt, it is in no way similar to spinning on a belt drive TT. Its not annoying. You dont even notice it. You dont have the same impact on a CDJ as a belt would on a TT.

The 800 is nothing like the 1000, so dont think that just because you buy an 800, its like to little brother of the 1000. The 800 is like the retarded half-brother.

If I was buying CDJs, here is the order I would rank those 3....

cdj-1000

Denon dns-3000

Pioneer 800

The platter on the 800 is much different then the platter on the 1000.

What about the Denon 5000?

If you are willing to wait a few weeks, get out and try the new Denon DN-S3500. I think it'll wipe the floor with the CDJ-800 and DN-S3000.

I have CDJ-1000MK2's, and I think the CDJ-800's feel very cheap. The Denon gear is all metal, has a nice sturdy feel. And the feature set of the 3500 looks great, has some effects and .02% pitch resolution.

the clubs out here either have the denons or the pioneer mk2s so if you play out you are likely to enounter one or the other also in one of the hip hop tv shows my brother was watching, they had the technics cd players. I felt bad cause i heard the technics have some major flaws

technics was probably the sponsor of the show...

and they look so good...wish they were better

That's not so bad, the Pioneer CDJ-1000 is only .02% at 6%, and .05% at 10%.

So if I get the 1000 the real best thing i would get over the 800 and 200 is the scratching?
If it's that, I'm not that interested in sracthing.

What i want is somehtign that I can get 2 tracks beatmatched, and they stay sync for long time and don't need to be pitching every 10 seconds to get them in sync, as i've heard some peopel say that here that happens with some equipment, and I thinkt hat is annoying.

about the Serato, well I was thinking on gettign that, but I've heard here that vinyl decks you have to be pitching the records very often to stay them in sync, even with the TECHNICS. aLso Cdj's are good for looping and that stuff, Well I'm not sure if Serato have looping functions that you can use with the vinyl decks, I think I might be much more interested in looping over scratching.

as for the Pionner 1000, only 2 of them are over 2000 $, that is just too much money, and I feel I need to start practicing now, as I have been waiting for about 5 years to get this equipment, and now I will invest all of my savings on this, so I want to make a good selection with what i have now, and I don't wanna wait untill I'm 60 years old to start Djing =).

I've been mixing with traktor DJ Studio, and I have learn many things on it, beacuse i think Djing is not only about beatmatching.

but I still don't feel I can name myself as a DJ if I don't learn to do it bymyself, so thats why i wanna get a CDj's or vinyl So I can feel more natural.

I mean if I start practicing, and I forget of bpm counters and wavedisplays for a while, then I will do everything buy EAR, and after a while I will feel more free to mix I think.

I don't want to feel the need of being supported by a computer to make mixes.

by this I dont mean I am against software, actually I wouldnt mind to use serato to learn to mix, but using only a software like Traktor gets me stucked in the Djing process, IT did help a lot to understand Song structures and made sets with flow.

Well I think I'm talkign to much, I got out of the theme I was tlskign about jejeje.

Thank you Anyway, to everyone here for the advices, I appreciate that.
