I truely do (along with most who share paradigm philosphies) really feel the Vault Lounge as a home to paradgim. A stepping stone for those first time involved (im really proud to say of the 10 months at the club, we had upwards of 30 different DJ's experience the tiest set-up, no monitor, crappy speakers, hot and overheating gear there was)
When the night started on Dec the 3rd there was to my memory 5 of "US" there. thats all there was. Myself, Tim, Jason, Dennis and one more (my appologies i cannot recall who this was).
Some great amazing nights (Who da think an Internationally like Airwave would join us one night) and some so-so amazing nights. :) Great learning experience and most of all, great ways to meet some of the most amazing people around.
For those that made massive trips, karin (Im spelling it wrong because you spell mine wrong too, but i know your doing it on purpose aswell), The London Peeps, Laura from Hamilton like 50 times a week it seemed, the TO crew and ofcourse those that did call Vault home week in and week out thank you again.
Lets rock P-room, viva and Colosseum and whatever comes next :)

I think I wasn't quite aware that there was a dance competition that night. All I remember was Svd - Bling Bling (Svd remix) and me going nuts.
And to cap off the 'spirit' of some of the good times at the Vault...

wanted to thank every DJ for playing there, and want to thank everyone who came out to support us! If it wasnt for you guys this would not have been possible!

I'm going to sorely miss this place; This is where I was 'adopted' into the KWTA ranks so to speak. I can still remember my first night meeting everyone, and among them Aaron.. And between the two of us STILL couldn't remember what the B side to 'Starburst' was. :D I've met a lot of very special people and developed some pretty strong friendships over the last few months, so it's kind of a downer knowing that there'll never be that venue to visit again.
My induction into the TOTA is pretty much owed to nights @ the Vault. I wasn't able to make it down EVERY week, but for the ones I did they were always memorable.. So it's always going to have a special spot in my edm-infused heart.
That being said, I'm looking forward to nights @ PR and Colosseum and FINALLY making it up to Markham.

| I am sorry to hear about this, but Ampz, you did say it was not a long term place for you guys. But, congrats for the job well done. |

| I definately have had a lot of good times at Vault. I met every TA i have ever known there. I also had the opportunity of playing there once. I have hundreds of memories from Vault that i know i will never forget. So...goodbye vault :( |

That was a great night.
The pre-meet dinner at the Rude Native, not having our table ready, my arriving early and getting the party started a bit early ;) Meeting Karen, Yohan, Aaron, among others. Also seeing Rich back from BC for a visit. What fun times, indeed.
Unfortunately I was unable to make it out much more beyond this but always followed the event reviews closely to keep up with all the crazy goings-on. Much respect to Paradigm for the countless hours of dedicated effort that has been and continues to be put into planning and executing great EDM events throughout this part of the province.
Best wishes for the future! I look forward to it.

I'm so sad and shocked to hear this! :( I *hearted* the Vault Thursdays...those nights are what cemented the bond I had with this site in my early days!! :( :( *sniff*
But true, those Rev Friday nights when my beloved Dennis Hahn is spinning will definitely make it up for me...and of course I have Tygon at Viva...so I'm happy...I better be hearing NuEra, Ampz, Celica, and Endgame (just to name a few...) at one of those new Paradigm venues SOON!!! :whip:
:D Congrats for the graduation! ;) |
