Just felt the building shake...chimes shaked like crazy for a few secs. Live on the 15th (top) floor of a building, so maybe feels bigger than it actually is. :p

Guess it was only a 3.2...oh well - enough to startle me out of bed right when I was on the edge of falling asleep. :)

I was chatting with Carrie earlier in the week about Quakes. I think I'll take our hurricanes over those anyday, kthx.

Glad it wasn't serious!

I'll never understand that mentality. :p I've lived in California for 20+ years and I've only ever felt maybe 6 or 7 earthquakes and none of them have been at all destructive.

I think it's all about not understanding the natural disasters in other parts of the country. I've never lived where there are hurricanes/tornados/floods and they scare me half to death. :)

It's not like a hurricane can actually stop me. I was stranded somewhere during Jeanne in September of last year and had to walk home in the middle of it, and it was a Category 2. The only thing I was afraid of was my cell phone getting wet. I got home a soaken mess but my phone was just fine. :) Hurricanes are more of an inconvienience than anything nowadays to me.

It was in Oakland right? My roommate just told me about that because she spent the night in Oakland last night... I live in d/t SF, I didn't feel anything at all, and I'm the lightest sleeper on earth.

DaveT
Yeah, it was in Berkely or something. I live in SF, too...right against Japantow and I felt it...but I was awake...it lasted about 2 seconds.

Oh... Have you been living here long? Are there a lot of "feel-able" earthquakes?
