i have been wanting to go there all my life (and moscow too). my next big trip is going to be to russia. i am so excited. i can't decide whether to do the trans-siberian express though. eek!
i wasn't born anywhere exciting (winnipeg) - thanks grandma and grandpa for leaving europe (near dnepropetrovsk, ukraine) before i had a chance to be born there!!!

Peru is best known for the Amazon, Andes, Machu Picchu and Nasca. BTW Nasca Aerial lines which depicts animals and insects (can only be seen from the sky) has raised the speculation that visitors from another planet either created or directed the project.

History Lesson: Peru apparently introduced most of the foods we love. Like the Potato (I'm told they have about 400 different varieties there), Tomatoe, corn. It was the richest country in South American until Francisco Pizzaro of Spain conquered and enslaved the people. Peru is rich in copper, silver, lead, zinc, oil and gold. It is currently being depleted and environmentally trashed by private American and Canadian Corporation i.e. Noranda Inc. Teck Corp, Gold Corp.
I would post up pics of China and Germany because they have some great culture too but I'll leave that for the next TA.
