Anyone has an idea how to make that 'tweaked' kick sound?
sounds like a form of extreme timestretching (used in rank 1 - top gear)
sample : http://s63.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=...L42H9TZNHEU4B38
if anyone knows how to create it, pls let me know
thanks in advance,

That is pitched up quite a lot and running through a very very slow flanger or phaser...or alternatively a rising pitch shifter |

nope its just timestreching. |

It sounds kind of "metallised", running through some sort of flanger indeed as well... Could also be the flanger causing the metallic sound as well. I have some effect setting in GoldWave that does something similar :) |

No its not just timestretching- it changes- hence the flanger or rising pitchshifter |

it also sounds looped if you listen correctly.. so either loop your sample are trigger it quickly. :) |

+1
Hey. This effect is achieved by using a pitch shifter that allows for formant preservation or atleast changing the formancy. It sounds as if they dropped it 12 semi-tones and raised it back up 12 but then vary it +/-6 through a lot of the song sometimes lower, sometimes higher. The metallic effect could possibly be a flanger but I'm not sure. Could also be a tight, metallic sound, hall reverb.

Don't try to do to difficult.
It's made in ableton live.
Slow down the song tempo and play it faster and faster.
That's it! |

u can try using a delay with very low MS (between 1 and 20) or with a vocoder... |
