Jay,

The last three years I have been going to guv mark has always played a variety of styles and genres to suit all tastes....However he has always played trance consistently keeping up with the latest trends in the genre. More weeks than not..guv will be a trancey night my friend. Sorry but while Mark does play alot of other genres, its not like the amount of trance he plays is dying down.

Last night was a very trancey night from about 1am onwards...got techy towards 4 and slowed down the last hour.

Brilliant tunes..
mark was on fire tongight

No doubt that all genres are covered. Thats my point. But i think some people expect one kind of music the whole night.

He definately doesnt play as much trance as he did years ago. But he has been labelled a "trance dj" ever since which is simply not true at all. It's all about variety.

Thats also why i like djs like carl cox for example. Coxy has a style but ive heard him play everything from house to breaks to techno to even the odd trance. A good song is a good song regardless of genre.

i like carl cox so thats why i go to his events.

Buddy, I'm blaming the management, which is poor. I'm not blaming The Guvernment's own business fundamentals.

Arrived at the guv with TranceGrooves around 11ish...no lineup and ten bucks to get in...w00t!

When we walked in it was quite empty, and although it did fill up later, it was nowhere near as packed as I'm used to seeing it...barely broke a sweat the whole night.

Spotted ChemEnchanced by the bar out on the patio, ended up chatting for a bit, before hitting the dancefloor. The tunes were pretty good, with a few really good tracks.

Since I was pretty much sober the whole night, I actually remembered to check out the other rooms. I've been going to the guv for almost 2 years now, for the first time ever I ventured upstairs...the skybar was closed, so I ended up in the drink for awhile.

Left around 5:30ish, dropped of TranceGrooves and headed back downtown for breakfast and "church"
