MSN Connection problem?

Ok, any suggestions, MSN 7.5 won't connect. It sits there attempting to log in, I get the error window up, says "We are unable to log you in at this time, please try again later". It was like that last night, I wake up and still have the same problem. I click the 'troubleshoot' button and it runs the 'basic internet connectivity', the Test results are all OK, I have connectivity on all the tests (IP, Gateway, IE settings, Hosts, DNS, proxy, Key ports). When I go into options, and connection, I click the Test button "You can connect the MSN Messenger Service".
I dun get it. |

7.5 is still beta people. Beta is a test form. You can't complain if things aren't working on a test program.
Stick to 7.0 (Build 7.0.0816) for the time being until 7.5 becomes final. |

I assumed 7.5 was not Beta as it was available through MSN's update feature. Since when have they started providing beta's to people who don't go looking for them?
Either way, it's weird. It works fine from work, but at the Hotel it doesn't (and I have a live IP at the hotel, shouldn't be any firewalls, and the troubleshooter says there is no port problems). Trillian works from the Hotel.
They're spying on me, I know it. |

I've heard it has something to do with Rogers..
I'm actually not making this up, it apparently has something to do with Network Traffic originating from a 24 IP Prefix.
I'm told it affects MSN Messenger, Windows Update, Hotmail, etc etc. |

I had the same problem last week Kevin.. it wouldn't connect me at all and I checked everything.. it wasn't on my end..
as soon as I uninstalled 7.5 and reinstalled 7.0 I was able to log in again.. so go back to 7.0 for now and you shouldn't have any other problems! |

It's known as a public beta. Public testing. There have been known issues with certain providers: Rogers and Roadrunner are the major ones I've heard of. |
