Well I left Modesto at 10:20PM trying to get there by midnight because on the groovetickets website it states if you're not there by midnight, they're gonna start letting the general admission folks in and if the club has reached it's full capicity then the people who ordered tickets in advanced will have to wait till people leave the club. I got into the city at 11:55PM and there was a long line for both general admission and presale ticket holders. At first, I stood in teh frist line but when I got up front, the guy there says this line is only for VIP, I thought the sign meant for VIP or Will call but it was for VIP Will Call so I had to get in the other line, which was longer but they were dividing people into 2 lines by last name so it was easier and faster for them to check people off the list. It took about 5 minutes and I got in.

The club was packed, in all rooms. I walked around a bit. Signed my name on a list they had in the front room to win tickets so see PVD on NYE in Vegas. At about 12:45, I went into the main room. That room was the most packed compared to other rooms, it was hard to walk around. I did eventually make it into the middle. I didn't know who was spinning then, he was wearing a cap, Jerry Bonham? Anyways he was done at 1 and that was when PvD started. I dance really hard thoughout PvD's set, well mainly jump up and down and bang my head because that's all I can do with all the room I had. I was in the middle of the crowd throughout most of the set, sometimes creeping up closer to the PvD but also getting pushed back many times. At 3:30 I finally had it and move all they way to teh top back. Next time when PvD comes I'm buying VIP tickets so I can at least have room to dance in the VIP room. He ended his set at around 4:20 and that was when I left. I was so tired that day, I did attend the Love Parade but had to leave at 8:00PM to drive some friends back to Modesto. Anybody stay till 9AM? Some tracks I remember:

PvD - The Other Side
Marco V - False Light
Ernesto vs Bastian - Dark Side of the Moon (Marc Van Linden mix)
Sandler - Theme Song
Randy Katana - Play It Louder
Depature - Without You Near
Second Sun - Playground (Nu-NRG rmx)
PvD - Nothing But You
PvD - Time Of Our Lives
Andain - Beautiful Things (remix?)

I was hoping to hear his rework versions of Timo Maas "Pictures" or Kuffdam & Plant "Summer Dream" but he spun a good set. I wanted to see Max Graham, anybody know what time he was spinning?

ok here goes my review.
this was THE worst clubbin experience for me. beyond insanity
i cant believe anyone that would actually enjoy this 1015 experience- THE WHOLE PLACE WAS LIKE AN INFERNO
we had to leave the club around 2:30 because it was simply not safe to be around inside.

S.F. fire deparment must shut down this place---omg, so many people can die if something happen that causes massive panic. this in 1015 people should be really be ashamed of themselve putting so many people in risk.

i didnt get to see pvd and spent 3 hours to look for my friends or waitin for them. if there was any positive things came out that nite was probably dj icey @ upperstair...he played some in sickiest breakbeat

with all the money we've spent this weekend, my girl n i are just glad to be alive n came back home safe.

I agree, every time i go in that club, when its packed like that...it kinda wigs me out...they pack that place so tight, that if there were a fire, bomb, earthquake or anything else like that, it would be an ugly scence...

yeah 1015 was pretty ty, so many ing people in the main room. my girl and i stayed next to the bar on the left, waaaaaaaayyyy nicer over there. the little waterfall made for a nice a/c and there weren't as many people. so honestly it wasn't that bad. but i missed max graham  i thought he would be on after PVD not in another room at the same ing time!! PVD finished and we walked into the 1st room, and lo and behold max graham was playing. juuuuust finishing up too :(, would have rather seen all of max grahams set and a part of pvd's set than the other way around. oh well, still pretty good for $40 i guess.

and yes the guy before PVD was jerry bonham, man he plays some weird !

LOL omg! did anyone see that fat white guy doing all the ninja poses? funniest ing thing, he had a fat white ugly girlfriend that was really ed up and kept making this face i couldn't stop laughing. then he would break out all these ninja poses....so god damn weird :haha: :haha:

This is how they pay $20k a night (or whatever he makes), and still turn profits. Its bad, and it makes the party that much more disgusting, but it comes with the territory.

It's hard to find a club these days, in any metropolitan city, that can handle Paul and the crowd he brings with him (yeah I'm there). Compared to the 1015 party though...Twilo nights were worse (think more nasty hot people, shirtless & sweaty), Sound Factory night you couldn't even move, and DC parties were rough too. We need a nickname for nasty overpacked PvD phenomenon. I would do anything get Paul to do a private party with a proper attendance level, where I can really enjoy the music and dance.

People have every right to bitch at 1015. Sometimes the crowds let up, this one didn't. It was like people were still rollin in when I left the place. It should have been a sellout and limited attendance (they were probably still taking $50 a the door).

It was one of those nights that I decided to just bite the bullet and roll right up to the front. Peoples arms were in my face, and dudes were all up on my ass jumping up and down (its not an enjoyable feeling). Again, this just comes with the territory. On the plus side, I got some great video and pics of Paul (which I will post later), and got to ask Paul if he's play some songs from 2002 (he just smiled and didn't play anything from 2002 or classics). He did play Dream Maker though, and it rocked the house.

Vids and pics coming soon.

i saw this guy pay the door man to let his entire crew in. he bought a presale, and i think maybe his friend did, but i know the other 20 people didn't. that was ed up!

I must be the only person that actually had a good time! Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the Love Parade because of my damn weekend job, but I felt seeing PVD (my 1st time hearing him spin live) was worth the $40 I paid for the ticket. I only wanted to see PVD, so I arrived at the club at around 12:30 and waited about 10 minutes to get in (would have only been about 2 minutes if I hadn't stood in the VIP line for a little while...don't understand why VIP line was longer than the regular will call line). I slowly made my way up to the main floor which was packed at 12:45. There were some rude (and obviously wasted) people, but I felt that the overall vibe was very good- people just wanted to dance and have a good time. I will admit that many people became way too excited when Paul started his set around 1:15 and I started to get pushed from all sides and I admit that I felt like I was going to suffocate a few times throughout the night. Funny enough, I was slowly pushed during PVD's excellent three hour set, and ended up in the front by the end of the night. I couldn't dance much, but jumping and head bobbing was fine for me. After PVD and Ferry Corsten (NYE 2004) I am still impressed with 1015, and realize that with big name DJs, any club will become crowded...we all knew that this would be a problem. I just try to make the best of the situation and enjoy the music :)

$20 minimum cover at 1,000 people strolling in throughout the night = $20,000 right there...I imagine Ten15 had 2,000-3,000 stroll through the club through the night and I image PvD was a lot more than $20k (for a weekend gig), especially since it was a 3 hour gig...plus there were all the other PAMDJ DJs too...PAM DJs is known for taking care of their DJs when it comes to costs...

Ten15 does all their own bookings (for the most part) these days so they don't have to share any door costs with promoters...so all door sales and bar sales goes into their pockets. :p

PvD just always packs the hell out of Ten15...at least the main room. It's always scary. Apparently it took about 5 minutes to cross the main room floor...I've been there on PvD nights where it's taken 20-25 minutes to cross that floor, lol.

When it comes to crowd size, I imagine all Ten15 has to worry about is keeping within fire code for the entire club and not one specific room. There's fire doors everywhere in case of an emergency...not just the doors you tend to go through.
