It's about 8 days to another New Year...this time I hope that Trance will once again reign the scene like "She" used to! :) Here's my all time favourite classics, I hope that you guys love them as much as I do....Let this thread roll....Merry Christmas and Happy Tranc-ing!!

Planet perfecto - not over yet (matt darey remix)
Hmmmm... All from 1999 i think. I've got luvstruck but it's not one of my classics. |

Hey, please read the title before posting your comments. This is a thread about Trance classics....whoever the hell said it was a poll on 2001 tunes....please try to read maturely before posting any immature comments....

On that Classics note...none of the tracks were known to be produced in 2001...please don't be annoyed by productions that you might not be familiar with... :) |

Actually, almost none of those would make it into my classics list - they're mostly too recent.
For me classic (and sometimes influencial) tracks would be things like
FSOL : Papua New Guinea
Leftfield : Song of Life
Cygnus X : The Orange Theme
Energy 52 : Cafe Del Mar (original)
Vernon : Vernon's Wonderland
Legend B : Lost In Love
Drax II : Amphetamine
Lochi : London Acid City
I'm writing a history of the trance genre, so will let you know when its finished (mid 2002 if I'm lucky, more likely 2003) |

My 'classic' favorites are:
1. Jungle High - Samurai (Fire of Love) ** one of the best "Trance" tunes ever made!!!
2. Leftfield - Song of Life
3. Jayjo - Phenomania
4. Eat Static - Element 115
5. Secret Knowledge - Afterworld
I think the 'newest' one came out some time in 1993. Most are 1992/93 tracks, and they IMO are the epitome of trance. **1999 does not quite qualify as 'classic' IMO either.... but I guess most of you ppl are 'new' to the trance scene by comparison :) |
