MLB: Who's the AL East champs of 2005, the Boston Red Sox or New York Yankees

So almost definately the tightest race in a long time between Boston and New York will be settled with a 3 game series in Boston this weekend with a one-game playoff in New York Monday if needed. So easy question, who is going to take it? Being a Red Sox fan, I gotta say Boston and I believe that they can do it too. I don't like having to play Toronto this week because it seems like they have Boston's number and then Yankees are only playing the Orioles, but I still have confidence here in Red Sox nation.

| I don't know who will win it in 2006 (thread title???), but I fancy the Yankees to do it this year though I would love to see them fail to make the playoffs. Also want a chance of revenge over the Bosox after last years whooping in the WS. |
