is it possible to record a mix with garage band (mac)?

| im looking to record a short (~30 min) demo, but i don't really have any special program to do so with. i was wondering if it's possible to record with garage band using the line-in input, and if so, how? |

a think so, am no sure how.
i went to downloads.com and downloaded Audacity for free though, its pretty easy to use, and works well for me. |

It is very possible, you simply create a new track, and add a "real instrument". From there you can just record off the line-in.
Garage band isn't the best for recording live and editing it, however... I'd suggest SoundStudio for the mac.
