Last week during history, we "learned" about the Russian Revolution during WO I. When lenin became leader of Russia and had some problems, Lenin had a couple of solutions.

And here is the point where I started to disbelief my teacher.

She said that Lenin removed the communistic politic in Russia, and began with a capitalistic politic in Russia. In dutch it was called the NEP (Nieuw Economische Politiek, free translated to english it means New Economical Politics).

I've forgotten a bit, but this is the major part where I disbelief my teacher. Now, is she right?

(btw, sorry for my bad english...)

yep... that was a short-lived attempt to correct his mistakes and provide more normalcy. It failed miserably.

Are you sure about that? While the New Economic Policy wasn't quite the abandonment of Marxism, it did allow private ownership of small parts of the economy primarily in agriculture. And while it produced several crises such as the scissors crisis, it was an overwhelming success over the previous economic policy of war communism such that it enabled the rebound of Russian agriculture after WW1 and the Civil War to pre-WW1 levels by the late 20's.

English is so bad it's hard to understand anything lol but...

Lenin did indeed wanted to promote economic growth, he knew that with a socialistic or communistic influenced gov't programs so they tried a sort of free market economy but if you ever read Dr. Zhivago or anything you know that what it was really like and most people lost everything.
