I did some reserch on the M5g because of everybody saying its better and the fact is that the pitch is Digital.
This can be a good thing and a bad thing.
Its good because you get more pitch stability (There is minimal pitch variation) but its bad because you get less accuracy due to pitch quantization.
Lets say the difference in pitch of two songs isnt 1,40 or 1,45 but 1,4632 is it going to matter ? While it isnt going to matter to your average clubber It IS going to matter to the ears of the people in charge of listening to demos.
Thats one of the reasons perfectionists like Richie Hawtin dont do cds.
If I buy my decks again I will get the same model or the Mk2 and keep things analog.
