Wow where do I begin,
My name is Gaby (sirbutterfly)& I guess I have been in the Toronto scene for almost 12 years. From the RPM days, Guv,Industry & most recently the BOA that was! I am leaving to pursue other avenues in my career in NYC. I felt compelled to write a little blurb on this site about the state of the Toronto Electro House Scene.
YOU ARE IN GREAT HANDS RIGHT NOW!
Toronto scene is amazing, the best I have ever seen. We have developed & are seeing new talent come in here all the time from the notables like sasha & lawler to some new ones like chus $ ceballos, Clive (peace division), Demi etc... the list goes on.
What I really wanted to say here in my farewell is that you have great promoters here. People like;
- Carey Britt from Wedance. Who made BOA what it was who truly cares & loves house music. Dedicated to the scene & making every event, REAL! A genuine person, personable and approachable. Who is honest and is well regarded abroad & works hard every time to make s
- Ralph Madi Project Orange, ZRF, century Room- this guy makes the event happen. AN EVENT ALWAYS. He is doing so much for the scene, with charisma and depth. You'll never ever see ralph unhappy or put on a ty show. Professional & hard worker.
- Craig Pettigrew, Gem - another one of those real true guys, who continues to bring us Tiesto & I can only imagine what else.
- Erick B (Rockstarr Promotions), dedicated personality, fun energetic & always to making sure that everyone is having a great time ... One of the real fresh up & commers in the Toronto scene.
Eddy k & Jazz -YYZ &p eopl like Rob Leese (Benson & Hedges), Gavin, Telul (guvernment & System -- need I say more) the list goes on....
Toronto continue to support these guys.
Lastly...
Toronto support your local DJ's most notably Sean Miller!!
This guy is not only talented DJ. He is always tight, programing stellar & a fantastic producer! I don't think TORONTO as a whole gives this guy the credit or respect he deserves.
Acually Toronto as a whole doesn't...
There is a reason that Steve Lawler has chosen him, not once but twice to be his opening Dj. If you haven't heard him, make the effort to go and see him. I promise you every time out, is a world class set... full of sexy groovy sounds. He is making it Toronto and he is yours!! www.djseanmiller.com
