Gates

Hi guys,
I'm trying (and failing) to find some DECENT gates. As some of you may know, I tend to be heavily into the glitchy sounds, so... I need to find something I have a *high* degree of control over, at least 1/64th of the beat (preferably 1/128 or less).
I actually don't care whether it's a trancegate a la mgTriggerGate or a MIDI gate like Cubase's MIDI gate or dfx MIDI gate, as long as there's some way to program the rhythm. The problem with the plugins I mentioned are:
- mgTriggerGate doesn't get finer than 32nd notes (it's also limited to one repeating rhythm, although I could get around that with multiple instances)
- Cubase's MIDI gate has hideously inaccurate timing below the 32nd note range
- dfx MIDI gate refuses to automate ( mainly, I can't bypass it  )
So does anyone know if there's any reliable and fine-tunable gates? I'd try making one myself in Reaktor but I don't quite know enough about that program yet...
Thanks in advance,
Aaron

CamelSpace is an awesome plugin but it only has 1/32nd precision on the gate. |

Reason's Matrix pattern sequencer.
-Velocity control (lets you program how much to open the gate by 25%, 50% etc, great for cool gated filter effects)
-32 step
-1/128 resolution
-8*4 programmable patterns |

Funny, this comes right about the same time I was thinking about purchasing Reason to rewire into Cubase... :thepirate
Have you tried using it at high-res (1/128)? Is the timing pretty accurate?
Thanks for all the links guys. GatR looks like it might do it, I still have to check that one out. If that doesn't work, I'm going to attempt this in Reaktor, and if I'm successful I will post it for everyone. :) |

Only after you asked whether it could do 1/128 :wtf: At that rate, the only way to describe the sound is as "glitchy". |

Might seem more work, though I always draw my gates myself. I think it could easily be done when you increase the step size (easily editable in FL Studio for example) per bar, so you can set the controls yourself and draw your gates.
It's relatively easy to play with the release of a synth to enable the gating effect. At least it works for me like this, so I won't be needing anything external :) |
