i already did a thread like this.. floorfiller whored it with places he threw water balloons at cops.. that was almost a classic.
none the less, my place 6 blocks north of the uni and next to the shorewood cop shop:

for a city of 2 mil people, milwaukee sure is left out of... everything. dont even have a decent ing color picture. christ |

this is where i spend most of my time.. Sandburg residence halls north tower. (red circle)
University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, UWM for short, was thinking about changing their name to Wisconsin State. they still might.. thatd be badass. yes this is the sweet sixteen team from last year who lost to illinois but embarassed alabama and boston college. mwahaha..
north tower fun facts:
haunted
worst elevators in the history of mankind
i spend most of my time on 18th floor in friends dorm
my alcohol hookup is on 25th floor
hottest laundrymat ever in G2
btw this pic is 5 years old and 2 years ago they built the west tower, which would be the black thing

Here's the gay bar half a block away from my house:

I've gotten hit on 3 times walking through that alley from the grocery store to my house since moving in 2 months ago. I guess I should be flattered ... |

Oooh, this man knows ;)
I miss going there straight from a club at 9am, with a load of booze in tow, was fun having to hide the Smirnoff Ices under towels n if the cops were walking about :D |
Too bad I've only been there for a week and a half, it's definitely on my to do again list.
And indeed, the clubbing scene there was thoroughly enjoyable.. Had some good times. Damn. I need to go back there. |

Whenabouts did you go?
The club scene is sadly no more over there, only one of the 5 city clubs I used to frequent have closed down, and only clubby bars exist.
Gallery is the only club still open, and its pretty much strictly hard dance :( |

Must have been some 3,4 years ago.. Can't remember all of the places I've been, but I've visited (among others) Dockside, 96 Degrees, a somewhat more classy (at least, that's what I remember) joint at the beach I've forgotten the name of and some bar in the city centre which reminded me of Coyote Ugly (including the bar dancing acts).
Sucks to hear it's gone downhill.. |

In my prime it was Unity, Pure, Gallery, 96 Degress and Zero 7.
Dockside was a bit too commercial for me, and the bar near the beach was either The Fez or La Med.
96 degrees was my favourite though, I had so many good nights there, used to hang out with all the djs, had perma VIP as everybody who worked in the club knew me and my best friend, heck, the bouncers would let us queue jump and not search us.
Not something that you can get in the UK, requires an awful lot of ass-kissing to get that, back in SA, we got it simply because we were nice and people enjoyed our company :( |
