Put your 4 fingers on the lp. press down only slightly, and move your arm and the lp back and forth (horizontally) in a rhythm. once your used to it, throw a cool track on the other turntable and get ready to skeet-skeet-skeet all over her face.

I guess you don't know how to scratch.

LOL. scratching is an artform that's hard to learn by reading about it. Its best to watch someone do it and try it yourself. Having said that, you can check out the description of most scratches here: http://www.asisphonics.net/theever.html
If you're serious bout scratching tho, i would recommend getting some dvds such as DJ Qbert's Do it yourself or DJ Shortee's DJ 101.

Have you ever heard halliwell? He will do the same scratch for like 10 minutes and NOT stop it. It sounds like total .

i like scratchin with my phaser effect turned on when using my numark dxm06 mixer. you can sync the effects to the beat of the music and it sounds awsome when you turn on the phaser and scratch...

try it!

I can not scratch to any form of EDM if my life depended on it. Hell I can't even scratch at all.

I'm a bit of a sucker for scratching, don't know any of the technical sides of it, but really liked that little scratchy scratchy.

Halliwell rarely scratches. He loads up the "ahh" sound in a CDJ, loops it ("aaa-aaa-aaa-aaa-aaa-aaa"), and then uses the Transform FX on a DJM-600 for 16th notes. ("aa aa aa aa aa aa aa aa aa aa")

Then, he just flips the platter around for pitch changes.

I have never seen him move the platter with one hand, and cut the sound with his other hand.
