+1...

STS9 is sick...

Thinking about this, it really makes me a little sad I didn't make it out to any random sweet hipped out festivals this summer (Bonnaroo, 10KLF, All Good for examples), hippies can get cracky with the best of them....

:wtf:

Randomly found this thread, just wanted to rekindle the fact that this band rocks all worlds combined. I might be seeing them in Michigan come July, they are playing at Rothbury I believe. Good .

I've always wanted to go see them at a big festival, never really worked up the money though (paying for flights sucks, are there any big festivals in florida???). They played in ATL a little while back but no one would go with me ;)
Check out Disco Biscuits and Pnuma Trio also, same type of electronic rock-ish whatever you choose to define it as..

edit: forgot about langerado.. I should go to that next yr

Jam bands in general have gained a more prevalent spotlight in the music industry. Let us not forget the almighty Particle to add to that list.

I've never actually been to a downright music festival. One where you camp out and stay for a few days. The stories I hear are glorious, so I need to experience one of my own, and I think Rothbury might be it.

I have never heard of them. Will you recommend a few good tunes by them?
CONNERMAN2000
Absolutely. Try and check out both Tokyo and Evasive Maneuvers, my top 2 at the moment (but that changes almost daily, haha).

Since it is a jam band, they have LONG tracks, so just keep that in mind.

Disco biscuits are also the . They came to play at the small venure here on campus (Appalachian State) earlier this year. Some of my buddies came up to try and get rid of some L at the show, and its a tiny place so we were tripping face up at the front for most of it. Probly one of my best nights up here.

That's awesome. Hey, can you give me some names to some good Biscuits tracks, I'm afraid I've only heard a few and I want to expand my horizons, so to speak.

STS9 is such a snoozefest it's ridiculous. I've seen them live twice and left at setbreak both times. The Disco Biscuits blow them out of the ing water.

CONNERMAN2000
Well I've never seen them live, so I can't judge their performances, but their albums consist mainly of a very chill-out, ambient-like background accompanied by catchy guitar riffs that give the song a nice rhythm. It by no means is party music, but something good for a drive into work or while sitting on the train.
