Where's the music

Yo everyone! I just moved to Los Angeles a few months ago, but have yet to find any "good" music. Where's all the Drum n Bass? Deep House? Vocal House? parties? You can find some good DnB every Thursday at Respect (in Hollywood). I believe cover is $10 unless there's a special event, in which case it's $15. They have an inside floor and then upstairs there is a giant patio with a bit more chill music. I've been there a few times and had fun.
As far as Deep/Vocal House, I can't help you too much there. The 3 other main places I know of that most people go to are Avalon, Spundae, and The Vanguard. Those venues seem to be more on the trancey side to me but it really depends on which DJ is spinning. |

he's pretty much spot on with the house. avalon on saturday's is the place to be for house, and now the vanguard on friday. giant runs both those nights, but friday's more so. also if you're interested check out www.basicpromotions.com basic goes off every 1st and 3rd friday at King King in Hollywood. damn good house music there. you can also check out Deep on sunday's, i believe its in Santa Monica. if you don't know, Deep is run by Marques Wyatt so all sorts of deep, funky, soulful house djs spin down there.

Its a super chill place and theres never any cover :)
