Great stuff there, I like it a lot. Nice dark and dreamy feel to it.

Since noone has posted here except for the generous Desty Nova.
I really that bassline, sounds TS04-ish, but it's flowing nicely with the kick. What a nice way to introduce higher notes around the 35 mark.
Claps are standard, but compliment the song nicely.I remember hearing the original, and this might be just as a good as far as production quality goes. One complaint, is the kick. Needs to be stronger. Awesome pads and use of frequencies to get the airwave sound, sharp and distorted. The bleeps at the 1:45 mark are too high in volume and hurt the ear. At the chord progression in the 2:39 mark are great but once again, the levels of volume on those are too high. I noticed my lower en frequencies on my equalizer are really high. Might be the interference with your bleeps at high volume and bassline, which at some points dissapear in the 4:15 mark. Great atmospheric break. Great atmosphere with the piano and chimes. THis is where I cry of joy, amazing....
The greatestpiano solo, I believe it deserves to be called a solo. Excellent way to end it too. Air synth sweeps it all away. I do believe a build up after that piano interlude is necessary imo, it just begs for a climatic explosion. This track is simply well done, and just needs a few touches.
Good Job mate. |

Just listened to it, man that piano got me ;) I love piano tracks.
I'm gonna have to agree with like everything Kris Xperiment said. In my winamp analyzer, all the frequiences were going through the roof, and there was a bunch of distortion.
Other wise good stuff ;) |

desty nova: hi man thanks for listening glad you liked the track. :)
kris: thanks buddy for the eqing tips, i think your right about certain levels, i dont have monitors to check levels properly just do mixdown with headphones thats why i think i can get problems with levels.
the piano solo is simply amazing wish i could take credit for it hehe :D but i done my best to compliment it.
bshidoheat: thanks for listening glad you like it. i'll take a look at that distortion i was having a nightmare trying to remove it all especially from the break. thanks again buddy :)

Hey DannyC,
Just listened to your track. Not bad at all. The build up is good with nice touches (bit prog. sounding, the bell is nice as well), break with the piano is lovely. Only thing I was hoping for was a great lead after the break. Now from the 7th minute on the track just keeps going the same way and the energy of the good build up is gone. I think a good lead + extra percussions can give the track some exta energy and drive.
Other than that, quite a good track mate!
Cheers! |

joeyenv: thanks for listening man, love your stuff :)
nomen: yeah i originally had an extra lead in after the break but it kept muddying the mix had to much going on in the track and i also thought it sounded much more dreamer without an extra lead. i accept your point on the percussion will work on that for next time. ;)
anyone else got some feedback for me?? |

Hi Danny
Woh I dunno what to think of the kick, but it's very upfront just to get ahead of the loud bass. It's clipping a lot here m8, render at lower volume and then try to maximize the volume while mastering. The subbass you're adding is really in the way of the kick and rolling bass you have in here.
Percussion sounds ok, but kinda gets muffled away. They have some drive, good. Maybe add some bongo layer.
Synths really need some equalising m8. They are just fighting with each other. The triangle arp I can hardly hear, but i really like that one. Bit of a sad melody, not bad.
Break now.. took a while, damn it's a long track. Pads are nice. The string in here ould use some chorus (fat wide) and reverb. Anyways thats how I like my strings and pads. Nice ideas with the piano and twinkling. Complex melody. Had a funny moment when the whole goes down :). Original for sure, just try to get rid of the raw sounding of almost all elements. Play with equalising and put tiny reverbs and chorusses on synths or groups here and there, it all needs refinement.
Nice project here mate, the ideas you have are good, keep working on it! |

Hey mate, good to hear more great tunage from you! This is possibly the most focussed work I've heard from you, having said that there's still heaps of stuff going on which did my head in a bit! You could perhaps shorten the track slightly...
That synth coming in at 2:33 I love, it's really full-on, interesting panning and a lush melody. The bell that brings it in is real sweet too (well in a dark kind of way - gives the tune a funereal mood)
That piano line is pretty cool :) Contrasts beautifully with what comes afterwards.
Good work man, always good to hear what you're up to and hear your improvement :D |
