Just started mixing, I can just about pull off a beatmatch before the next track comes in but I'm not sure about the best way to try and beatmatch. At the minute i've been matching the basslines together and keeping stopping/starting the record im mixing in while changing the pitch to eventually get the right tempo. Some people tell me that counting the beat playing and not listening to it is best or to match the midrange melodies.

I've got Numark CDN22's with a Numark dm1002 mixer, I know I need practise to get better but has anyone got any tips for me with my setup? :eyespop:

Trying matching the hi-hats or the beats - simple
Then practice, practice, practice and it will become second nature.
