I think you guys forgot Sivori, Rivera and Riva amongst the best players.
Imho Maradona has been the best 'cause of when Pelè played the pace was ridicolous :p ... do you remember the goal Maradona scored vs England in Mexico 86 ? AWESOME!

Ferenc Puskas was excellent but i dont think he should be in the top 10. I heard there was a brazilian player in the 40's and 50's that was better than Pelé.

 I can't believe what I'm reading, Puskas was a ing god, ok here's some facts:
>He scored 83 goals in 84 internationals
>He scored 780 goals in 823 first class matched
>In the first five years of the champions league's existence, Real Madrid (for whom Puskas played) won all five times, in one of them they beat Eintracht Frankfurt 8-3, Puskas scored 4 goals!

Puskas was indeed the best striker. But when you all think best players you all think of strikers. why?

Paulo Maldini

"Look at me now I'm so fat it makes you cry....I know why...coz I was high...coz I was high"

the best players definately had brazilians, argentinians, dutch, italian and german
Pele, Garricha, DiStefano, Johan Cruyff, MARCO VAN BASTEN...how can u guys forget about this guy? not 2 many mentioned of u...Platini, Eusebio, Franz Beckenbauer, BERGOMI, who just retared 2 years ago, most famous Inter Milan player that lived...Maldini is still playing and this guy will definately when he will retire be the best italian defender that lived :) i admire so much of his talent, strength, endurance and stability of his skill :) Gabriel Batistuta is very close 2 retiring and 4 ur information, i think this guy was better than Maradonna, no fence 2 u all maradonna luvers...but maradonna wasn't actually a REAL football player, he got in2 mad drugs and stopped playing...kind of a like hollywood story hehe :stongue: yes he was talented but coz of that he did so much drugs i really disliked him and Batistuta has not once but many times proven why he is 1 of the most consistently best world class strikers in the world :) there was a time when every club wanted him, about a year ago when his contract expired with Florentina...Man Utd was willing 2 pay $50 mln or was it $60 mln...no matter but the amount was huge :p
just have a question, when johan cruyff was playing in the world cup finals, how was his partners in striking? i 4get the name Rosenbrank or wat is it...i think u dutch guys should know him coz he was called the KING OF ANDERLACHT :)
