So, some friends and I are trying to plan a big trip, and although it's pretty far away, I wanted to know if anyone has ever been to the Sensation White parties in Amsterdam. If so, how was it? Worth the trip? From the photos on the web it looks amazing...
Thanks for passing along any info you may have...

Hands down the best party I've ever been to. loca and I went last year with Desidel, Endlesswave, cono_sur. Def worth the trip. Amsterdam itself is worth the trip! Make sure you get your tickets as early as possible to avoid crazy prices. If you want to party with your friends, make sure you don't lose each other. It's impossible to find people in that damn place .. loca and I went ahead of Endlesswave, desi and conosur and we didnt see them the whole night. We ended up meeting by accident in some restaurant in Amsterdam the next day. lol.
But yah, the Dutch know how to party. I just got my 04 dvd in the mail the other day .. wish i could have gone this year.
We didn't get a chance to check out Global Gathering / Dance Valley , which from what I hear are even better.

Edit:
And for a place to stay, I would recommend Noah's Ark Bed & Breakfast in Plataanstraat, Duivendrecht. Walking distance from the Arena. Very nice cheap place. The owners are nice people.

First, that is the most amazing picture ever! Thanks for the info - I get chills thinking about going. One question, is it the same time every year? If so, when? I haven't seen anything for 2006 yet...

No problem. Yah it's usually around the same time. The first weekend of July for White and the following weekend is Black. Last year was on July 3rd. From 10:00pm-ish to 7:00am-ish |

| Totally worth it! One of the best times of my life by far :D Just make sure you organize everything well ahead of time, otherwise you'll end up paying an arm and a leg for everything. |

out of all the huge music events, sensation white has always been my event of choice that i'd just die to go to. from my memory, 2003 was the king of sensation white years 'armin van buuren' 'ferry corsten' 'johan gielen' 'marco v'
even though i totally can't afford it, if that lineup was gaurenteed for this year, i'd have to pull some strings to make that work. |

Hey,
Two of my friends and I went to Sensation 2005 (3 months ago).
I have tons of pictures, but they don't do the justice - it's simly THE BEST party you could go to. Believe me on this one: right after Sensation, we jetted to Ibiza, Spain, and spent a week going to Amnesia, Privige, etc etc etc. We basically went out to the best clubs in the world every day for 8 days straight after that.
NOTHING compared to Sensation. After you have visited Sensation, you will compare every party that you go to to the event in White :). And every single party will loose the comparison. You will talk about it ad nauseum with your friends. You'll try to recall the feeling you had in the ArenA. It's just unbelievable. It changes your life.
Ok, now I know it did change mine - I now know that in some parts of the world people can party like I always imagined they should party.
Anyhow - for me, there were 2 defining moments of Sensation White 2005.
1) Armin and Jan Vayne hitting the Serenity tune. The place goes mad. You feel ecstatic. It's unbelievable.
2) Prior to that... During the Megamix... Cygnus X - Superstring comes on.. White shiny paper flying from the ceiling.. People going crazy-happy as it's the most awesome tune they could have played at that time. I could have died 1 minute after that tune, and I would have died a happy man.
Man, I wish I was back there.
Trust me, just go.
I know I will try my damnest hard to make it to White'06.
