more and more amateur producers spread their music on the net.
Do you think this is good for the scene or bad?
Innovation or crap flood? |

good thread, this is one question I'm thinking sometimes...
I think the answer is, both, like u said:
Innovation and crap flood.
In the same time there are tons of nonsense trance with the same formula being used, I think there are good recent producers out there:
joni ljungqvist (so young but so good, I wait he keep producing trance for a long time, my fave producer atm), estuera, leon bolier, mike foyle, and others...
the key is: just filter what u like.

| No I dont think theyre killing the industry. If anything its most of the big names that are doing it these days. |

depends how good they are. i can see the argument for and against but i'd sooner agree with this statement:

| I think it's great for the scene.. NO DOUBT u get ty tracks all over but then sometimes you might come across a genius whose stuff would just make up for the you've skimmed through. Every amateur out there wants to be the NEXT BEST THING, hence they go for the usual stuff and try to imitate professionals. But then some people try to find their own sound when they are content enough with their skills and some of them keep repeating the formulaic generic crap. It's a matter of perspective really. You can actually blame the pros actually for not raising the bar but instead cashing out on the generic crap. |
