Show or hide formatting marks:
Click Show/Hide on the Standard toolbar (meaning on the toolbar were the font size is all the way to the right the two double arrow thingy clickit and go standard toolbar and click on the show/hide icon which is a P or paragraph looking thing)
OR
Tools --> Options then View tab. Under Formatting marks, uncheck all
I think this is what you wanted... |

lmao, this is ridicously (sp) easy to fix. If I understand what you want correctly... No need to waste more of your time by re-installing. Just ask one of your computer nerd friends to help you.
