| I know yall are working towards a peaceful existence with our brothers who like to "cruise", but DO NOT inhibit the right of way for residences. Think about what your doing.... |

| Oh, hell, what're they doing now? :nervous: |

| i live downtown... they have the whole downtown area clustered because they decided that they need to close off roads to help prevent cruising. effectively, what they've done, is cause a congestion that i sat in for a whole hour just trying to get home. they won't even let people who live there take the streets they need to. |

| Were I an evilly-inclined individual with decent amounts of cash, very little paper trail, and plenty of time for some offhanded creativity, I would say that situation sounds like an IED maker's dream of a target-rich environment. :eyespop: |

| dallas nightlife ing sucks! That's why I like to go the places that say open till 4am so I don't have to deal with the 2am madness. |

I've got zero tickets from living in both NJ and VA (DC area). If I get on in this state I'm going to be
So how many mph over on highways till they pull you over? because before i came here i thought i was an aggressive driver, but the highways here are insane. no one goes under 70mph :conf: :eyespop: |

theres not a lot of police patrol on the highways... there doesn't need to be. everyone drives 80 because you can't get anywhere in this city without going that fast. most people are doing ridiculous commutes like ft worth to dallas or plano to downtown everyday so you have to go fast. i have no complaints with the Dallas PD other than the fact theyre letting the brothers up downtown traffic |

I've little love for cops, but I've even less for Homeland Security, in specific the assclowns who search me more thoroughly than anyone else in an airport just because I happen to be flying in uniform. No one else is forced to take their boots off, but Heaven help you if you're a soldier in DCUs coming in for EML leave after spending months dodging IEDs and pissed-off Iraqis. I honestly think it gets them hard making soldiers kowtow to their bull when we're the ones charged by oath to defend the nation from all aggressors, foreign and domestic, and sign away years of our lives and half our privileged "freedoms" to do so. While the rational part of me recognizes that they have a purpose to serve and a job to do (for a lot more than what I make, with much less sacrifice and hardship), I get a little bothered by how much effort they put into eyeballing me and how little effort they put into doing the same to anyone else. Every time I have to fly in uniform, I keep expecting them to direct me to a backhoe so that they can prospect for gold in my ass, just in case I'm smuggling a nail clipper up there. :eyespop:
I hold the same measure of base contempt for the hired gate guards at Fort Hood. These jackoffs make more than an E-6 with eight years of service as base pay, carry loaded weapons on duty, and have the authority to pull anybody over, search them, their vehicle, confiscate their property, and shoot them dead if necessary, all while working an eight-hour shift. Again, rational mind says it's part of the deal, but I think it rather ty that I might just find myself in the midst of being searched when one of these guys has a bad day and puts a round in my leg because I took a step when I shouldn't have, or something equally ludicrous, and they felt "endangered" and "responded". Their pals would probably testify that I came at the tard with a knife or some other such bull.
Oh, well. . .pimping ain't easy.:thepirate |
