My Iriver died...
WTF?
It just says "H10 system files missing plug into Iriver plus to restore" or something like that. If i plug it in it just shows 0bytes and Iriver plus doesn't open I tried reinstalling, formatting, EVERYTHING. I bought it middle of July.
I prob have to find somewhere they sell Irivers to return it(I think it's still under warranty or something... I haven't seen Irivers here though (Bought mine oversees).
I thought Irivers where good? Shoulda bought an Ipod me thinks. |

| iRiver cmos chip deactivates after you've play a certain number of illegally downloaded songs. I wouldn't return it because they'll report you to the RIAA. |

I call B.S. :) I believe in many places it's legal to download songs if you bought a real version at the store. iRiver wouldn't have any way of knowing that. |

IT doesn't say this in the manual though, and how will it know if a song is illegal??? Their software doesn't rip to mp3 only wma so basically it would register every single mp3 you have as illegal, and it is supposed to be an mp3 player so WTF?
What keyboard foul?
They can report me if they like, I own everything that is on there. |

The RIAA has red flagged songs found on sharing networks and the digital signature is unmistakeable |

some of the songs found on sharing networks have a digital finger print that the RIAA have identified as illegal. |
mmhmm, do you have a source to support any of this |

no but i thought it would be funny to with you. :p
the serious answer would be to go to iriver site get the customer service number, ask about their warantee, and whether you can return it. They might not honor foreign purchase or tell you to send it back to the retailer you bought it from. |

The warranty is only applicable in the country of purchase.
hmmmm
Now all I need is a few bucks for a plane ticket, so I can return it to the store for a new one.....
I hope my camera doesn't die also.... |
