Hey guys, doing an extended essay on house music and im wondering what everybody thinks was the first house tune.
i will then go on to HEAVILY anylyze this song to the MAX.
like ultra power analyzation.
But i need to pick one tune.
i understand there may be different opinions on the first house tune.
but try and put some thought in your mind and possibly give a reason or explanations.
i will be judging the song based on:
RHYTHM
MELODY
HARMONY
TONE COLOUR
FORM
EXPRESSION

| I don't have thoughts on the first house songs ever produced. But I just thought I'd help out on your essay if you'd like. I'm not sure if this is true since my memory's a little rusty. Correct me if I'm wrong. But a few years back, I read about how house formed. House music originated in Chicago in the early 1980s. It got the name "house" from the type of building it was created in, a warehouse. Hope I got this right. ;) |

yeah you're right, it was Frankie Knuckles who was a resident at the Warehouse. |

No, that's called Disco music...
And the club was called The Warehouse, yes. You might want to look up The Loft and David Mancuso if you haven't already. |
