you can argue about pvd doesnt has more a good track selection like past, but he doesnt play cheese, its just like his playlists:

the only thing we can considere cheese above is say hello, maybe im wrong, the right word is popular, cus the song got recognized for a big public and is overplayed, but its common most producers have some pop music in his case, but it dont confirm the dj play cheese, cheese is sammy or judge jules for example.

the list got tons of good trance, just because it got delerium silence, adagio for strings or just be, we have to take tiesto like cheese dj?
I know 90% of the people will not agree with me, but yet is my oppinion and I`ll not extend me more in this thread... everyday one thread about "considered cheese djs", if u dont like the playlist of a dj, move to other, menno de jong, le saux, etc... there are good ones, and forget about tiesto, pvd and all they ve done for electronic scene...

I dont like these threads, because music is a personal taste thing. People are not better than others, especially top djs compared with one another. You like pvd, someone else likes Tiesto (although reading these forums i doubt it :)).
I won't tell my friends to stop listening hiphop, trance is not better, its just different. You can't discuss taste, music is personal. Just let people be.
So here we go, this is my opinion, but it isnt worth , because its my opinion:
Tiesto does not play much cheese, he just not always mixes very tight and he plays his own tracks set after set (traffic). + Nowadays he prefers to use hard tech beats to get the crowd going instead of nice trance melodies, not good imo :(.
Ive never liked pvd, but thats a personal taste thing (too many styles in one set, cheesy pvd reworks, high bpm level, ableton live, kinda boring behind the decks (physicly). I will forgive him because he is the guy behind For An Angel :).
Avb: He is allright, going to see him at armin only: the next level in ahoy rotterdam. Just hope he wont play Smells like teen spirit (whats with that :whip: ). Production wise he was absolutely top notch in the past, shame he is losing terrain on that level (just compare shivers with his remix of devotion or any other production he did in the past, although i dont dislike shivers like some others in here).
I listen asot a lot, mostly its good (i kinda not listened the last 6 episodes), but i dont know what he was thinking in 216, but after an hour i turned it off, all bad tracks. So lets hope he was having a bad week.
I feel useless. Why am i posting this? |
