I have a question concerning midi controllers:
If you have a controller with rotary knobs that are not continuous vs a controller with knobs that are continuous (like the korg kontrol 49) what are the differences?
Is one difference that the continuous rotaries will not cause a virtual knob to make a "jump" adjustment if they are not alligned?
Am I wrong?
Are there any other advantages?

| All down to resolution. If you wanted, you could program your host to require the knob to turn a dozen times to smoothly change a value as opposed to being limited to one turn. See what I mean? |
