fool...a dj plays tracks, mixes them together to make people dance...he does not create music (he remixes it while he plays)...
a producer makes music, creates his own tracks...and those are producing software...not dj software... |

remix - if recorded - changing the bass is considered remixing the song...but yes i have phrased it wrong...as a dj you mostly mix tracks into one another...not a lot will remix on the spot...unless they're sasha, bt or...etc |

I don't even think Sasha does that much at all.
I downloaded one of his ableton sets (that I was actually present live for), and really he just played tracks. There were a couple places where he kept things overlayed for several minutes, but that's all ableton's thing.

| ok.. for example, dj dean, groove coverage etc.. are they not djs? are they only music producers?? just wondering.. |

Lots of producers are djs and vice versa.
So some people when they produce a track will put dj infront of their name because they think it sounds good but most of the time it doesnt. Actualy theres a whole forum on the topic. |

they just put the nickname DJ in the beginning for different purposes. i assume one reason why they do so is to relate to electronic/dance music.
