Most annoying law in the US as far as I am concerned.
I've been clubbing since I was 16, and in both SA and the UK the minimum age is 18 (to tie in with drinking laws).
To be fair, I very rarely drink in clubs, and what I do do is illegal regardless of age, so I'd be hella annoyed if I was like 18-20 and couldn't go to the nice parties simply because if I drank alcohol it would be illegal.
Ah well, there are always fake ID's for you younguns ;) |

| i feel for my under 21'ers ;) up until a year ago i always tried to find the hook up cuz it was painful to hear that Tiesto or Pvd were going to be at Space and it was 21+. I'm 21 now and let me tell you under 21'ers..start counting the days, cuz it's worth it :D i don't realy see a problem with the 18+ crowd though.... |

well, being over 21, some people just dont like being around us younger people. i guess we can equate it to being a senior in high school and having to hang around middle school people. i see what some of them are saying. also, a lot of clubs make most of their revenue from selling alcohol. if you're under 21, u cant buy alcohol, club loses money. and lastly, i dont know about electronica events, but i know for the hip hop scene, its usually the people under 21 who start fights and trouble.
but being over 18 and under 21, at least there are SOME events for us. under 18, there's nothing. |

Very true, The 18 and under crowd tends to get into a lot of trouble acting like kids, And mostly there taste in music isn't the same as the 21+ crowd, We 21+ people like music thats a bit more mature. |
