The TA Search Engine is offline at the moment, so I was wondering if any of you had the link to a similar "how-to" post?

Stealing vocals from a made track.
Can I just run it through filters to filter out the other frequencies. I thought it might be possible as vocals normally run in the (XXHz?) to (XXMHz?) range of song frequencies and therefore it would be possible to isolate those frequencies, thus stealing the vocals.
Of course there would be other parts of the songs still stuck in those 'vocals frequencies' you extract, subjective of course to the song you're trying to extract them from. But I was just curious if anyone had done it before successfully and how they did it (using what software etc.).

rafale, malaysia eh, i think i've seen ur nick around rolling eye's forum, huh ?
I've tried once on an acoustic track, but, believe me, the effort is not worthwhile. You will still pickup unwanted noise no matter how hard you try. Even if you're able to do it, the vocals is already heavily EQ'd, so there isn't much point on doing so. My advice is to sing the phrase over, it takes less effort.
But if u were to try out, any modern EQ'ing software is capable, but most importantly is whether the song you picked has many instruments or noise or not. |

LoL.. Even one of the most contributing posters in this forum has his limits... Seriously mods.. make a damn thread saying that you can't rip vocals and/or Instruments from existing songs.. |

It's impossible.
Ain't it funnt, that as soon as the search function is offline, this question pops up again? ;D Makes me wonder how many newbs are really wondering about this.
Seriously mods, you should make a sticky as digital punk pointed out. |
