As an obvious fan of British comedy, I feel I should come out of involuntary retirement and show my appreciation from the netherworld.

After finishing Series 3 there was nearly 2 years time that passed before filming began on series 4. During that time Richard Coyle had begun acting in more theatre shows and other television and movies, and felt he had outgrown the character/had nothing interesting left to do with the character. So they basically wrote him out of the show hastily (did an ok job, considering) and added in a new 3rd male character, Oliver to the mix. While Oliver did not seem to click early on, he became a pretty interesting character in his own right and added to the insanity fairly well. Series 4 was not as funny as the previous seasons overall, but the series was still amazingly well done and more than funny enough.
Oh, they are working on a Christmas Special, kind of like The Office Special to top things off. There will be no Series 5. Steven Moffat is working on the new Dr. Who series now.

Yeah, Oliver is alright, he woulda been better if he didn't have to live up to Jeff's legacy though
I hear the US attempt at this show failed miserably?
not surprising :stongue: |

| i DL'd the first series of the american internpretation. they kept the same script, but it was really really bad. american's can't pull off british humour, fact. |
