Philosophy major useless?

I'm currently an English major concentrating in writing and philosophy minor, with plans to go to law school. I'm not diggin' it that much to be honest. i've always liked economics, took a far courses, and i hear it's a very marketable degree. so i'm thinking of switching: Double major in Philosophy and Economics, and a minor in Jewish studies. I figure this would look great on a resume right? or no?
I have 5 semesters left at school, and I need 75 more credits to fulfill the 2 majors and minor. so I can pull it off but it'll be tough
I plan on working for a few years before law school, but what can I do with a degree like this? |

| If your going to Law School, take a major in English. At least thats what i was recommended by all my counselors when I was planning on doing it. |

| It doesn't really open any doors by itself, but it looks good as an extra on your resume. Majors like these are mostly just for your personal gain. They can teach you to adopt different perspectives and to understand certain factors better, which can come in handy in any field you choose to go in. Pilosophy alone - maybe a bit less. If you get the chance I'd suggest you try to get some sociology classes. It's very useful knowledge in law. But then again, that's my field of study, so I'm biased. ;) |

i'm just hoping whatever school i pick (i'm going for philosophy honours definitely) can teach me things i don't already know, or atleast provide an atmosphere that actually helps me learn them for a change (unlike all my previous education  ) |
